HANDHELD APP
T he handheld app for Apple iPhone, iPod, and iPad devices has been developed by Idealpos to enhance customer service provided by staff. Providing users with advanced functionalities to place their own orders, this application is a convenient time-saving tool that can be carried in their pocket.
The Develop.Software team conducted extensive study on our Australian client’s business and industry. In order to prioritize end-user convenience when recording new orders, updating canceled and postponed orders, it was imperative to maintain a balanced menu design. Our top priorities were simplicity, the creation of robust cybersecurity solutions, and optimizing for efficiency and speed.
What The Client Required
The objective was to develop a mobile application that facilitates seamless interaction and updates between team members. This application must implement real-time data updates to ensure prompt and accurate information delivery to the users. Besides, the end-users had an expectation that the software application would function as a beneficial ally in providing prompt assistance to one another.
The following are the requested features for the Handheld application by the client:
- ✓ Fast access to the same stock items available on your POS Screen terminals
- ✓ iPad/ iPad Mini version displays a fully-functioning Table Map complete with status indicators
- ✓ Hand the device to the customer 10 complete their own order, in their own time
- ✓ Increase staff service by minimizing the time required walking to an order terminal
- ✓ Allow staff to use their own devices if they wish
Our Technologies
The Handheld app development project was implemented by the Develop.Software team using the following technologies:
